Measure Your RV First

Always measure your actual RV rather than relying on the manufacturer's listed length. The manufacturer length typically doesn't include the hitch, bumper extensions, spare tire mounts, or bike racks. Add 2–3 feet to the listed length for a realistic total. Height matters too — measure from the ground to the highest point, which is usually the AC unit or antenna, not the roof itself.

Standard Storage Space Sizes

10×20 feet: Fits pop-up campers, small teardrop trailers, and some truck campers. This is the smallest and most affordable option.

10×30 feet: Fits most travel trailers (up to 27 feet), small fifth wheels, and Class B camper vans. A versatile mid-size option.

10×40 feet: Fits larger fifth wheels, Class C motorhomes, and most travel trailers with hitches. The most common size for average RVs.

12×40 or 12×45 feet: Required for Class A motorhomes, large fifth wheels, and toy haulers. These are premium spots and fill up fast.
